LAKE PLACID, N.Y. — The U.S. and Canada are meeting for the 11th time at the Women’s Under-22 Series. Team USA holds a 12-3-3-13-2 (W-OTW-OTL-L-T) record against Canada with the last meeting taking place on Aug. 24, 2014, when Team USA defeated Canada, 3-2, in a shootout.

The U.S. has now won six in a row at the Women's Under-22 Series and outscored Canada 23-9 during that span.

Alex Carpenter (North Reading, Mass.) is serving as team captain and the alternate captains are Hannah Brandt (Vadnais Heights, Minn.) and Lee Stecklein (Roseville, Minn.). It is the fourth time Carpenter has served as a Team USA captain.

The roster features eight players who helped the 2015 U.S. Women’s National Team earn a gold medal at the International Ice Hockey Federation Women’s World Championship in Malmo, Sweden. Those players are Brandt, Dani Cameranesi (Plymouth, Minn.), Carpenter, Megan Keller (Farmington, Mich.), Annie Pankowski (Laguna Hills, Calif.), Haley Skarupa (Rockville, Md.), Stecklein and Dana Trivigno (Setauket, N.Y.). Melissa Samoskevich (Sandy Hook, Conn.) helped the 2015 U.S. Women’s National Under-18 Team earn a gold medal at the IIHF Under-18 Women’s World Championship in Buffalo, New York.

Four members of the U22 coaching staff are former National Hockey League players, including head coach Ken Klee (Indianapolis, Ind.) and assistant coaches Robb Stauber (Duluth, Minn.), Jeff Halpern (Potomac, Md.) and Chris Tamer (Dearborn, Mich.).

Puck drop is at 6 p.m. ET and the game will be streamed live on usahockey.FASTHockey.com.
