GAMEDAY: U22 Select Team Faces Canada in Game Two of Series

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. — Today is game two of the 2015 Under-22 Series between the U.S. and Canada. Puck drop is at 2:40 p.m. ET and the game will be streamed live on usahockey.FASTHockey.com.

In the series opener on Wednesday, Nicole Hensley (Lakewood, Colo.) stopped 18 of 19 shots and four different U.S. players scored as the U.S. Women’s Under-22 Select Team defeated Canada, 4-1,. Dana Trivigno (Setauket, N.Y.), Hannah Brandt (Vadnais Heights, Minn.),  Haley Skarupa (Rockville, Md.) and Sydney Daniels (Southwick, Mass.) scored for the U.S.

The U.S. and Canada are meeting for the 11th time at the Women’s Under-22 Series. Team USA holds a 13-3-3-13-2 (W-OTW-OTL-L-T) record against Canada.

The U.S. has now won seven in a row at the Women's Under-22 Series and outscored Canada 27-10 during that span.

Alex Carpenter (North Reading, Mass.) is serving as team captain and the alternate captains are Brandt (Vadnais Heights, Minn.) and Lee Stecklein (Roseville, Minn.). It is the fourth time Carpenter has served as a Team USA captain.

Four members of the U22 coaching staff are former National Hockey League players, including head coach Ken Klee (Indianapolis, Ind.) and assistant coaches Robb Stauber (Duluth, Minn.), Jeff Halpern (Potomac, Md.) and Chris Tamer (Dearborn, Mich.).

After today's game, the two teams will meet for the final time on Saturday at 6 p.m. ET.
