2015 IIHF WOMEN'S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

The U.S. Women’s National Team claimed their second consecutive International Ice Hockey Federation Women’s World Championship and fifth in six years with a 7-5 victory over rival Canada in the gold medal game. Team USA led 4-1 going into the second period but Canada made a comeback in the second, tying the game at five. In a hard-fought final frame, Team USA prevailed, notching two goals for the win.

The U.S. went undefeated in the tournament and outscored their opponent 30-6. Leading up to the final game, Team USA defeated Canada, 4-2, Finland, 4-1, and Russia twice, 9-2 and 13-1 respectively.
